Thanks matey's for the extra scans. I still have some work to do on the Sydney, and I'm still intending to do the overhead view as well. I'm presently getting the Melbourne into shape - about 55% complete. As the drawings show her after the last refit - operating Skyhawks and Trackers, I'll begin with that representation; and next I'll retro back to how she would have appeared when operating Venoms and Gannets (thanks DP). If anyone has any information of how the Melbourn would have looked then I'd be most grateful.

Looks great, though I'd love to see the hull shaded properly. :P

Did it for you:

Superb really. If you don't mind I can make the Argentine carriers from this, it would make for an excellent starting point.

Thanks Colo, it certainly looks a lot better; I'll make a point of following this in future :)

Re Argentinian version Finfan; you could work from this quite easily; though the Independencia was a Collossus class, there wasn't really much in the outward apperance to diferentiate the two classess. Alvama has done the Karel Doorman, which transfered as the Veinticinco de Mayo; but as far as I know it hasn't yet been shown under the Argentine flag

To ALL I'm reserving the Vikrant for myself.

Yes thats why I asked, they're quite simple reworks for both. Nice and easy to get me into the shipbucket scale.

Thanks: re the Vikrant; I had a smaller res but this is quite good; though I'm not sure about all the details being accurate.

Speaking of which.....I've checked again both drawings, and I would say that the Sydney is accurate, while the Melbourne needs recasting; so that means (Finfan) you could take the Sydney as a base. I'll do the same when I upgrade the Melbourne and do the Vikrant.
