For uploading to the mainsite (which I certainly thinks it warrants) you might considering changing your image name from the current, which begins with 'template (...)' to, say "US-PG-Eagle-Class" for clarity of information! Otherwise an excellent rendition, Zeph! Definitely warrants moving to the Real Design thread!

Sorry, but the "US" shouldn't be in the filename.

we don't use countrycodes anymore when we have the actuall namesite. The country codes were orginally there to seperate the drawings alphabetically in the photobucket account.
Also the Eagle boats had their own hull classification symbol "PE".
So I'd say the file name should be "PE Eagle" for a drawing of the whole class or "PE-1 Eagle" for a drawing of the specific ship "Eagle No.1" etc.

anything else I've screwed up? so I don't have to keep renaming the file ad infinitum?

We don't use country designations in our file names anymore.
The correct file name in this case would be PE-33.png, since you seem to be drawing specific ship.
If you're drawing the class instead it should be PE Eagle.png
Also, get rid of the Ford logo. It's not a unique ship badge or crest, or even a house flag.

Yes, I am aware of that. Which is why on the drawing itself it says "PE-33".

The waterline should be black, at the moment its dark grey with some black bits in it.

Overall though its a good starter project and it looks good.

If they are indeed vents, they should either be white or a very dark gray color.

recolored vents

And if you have further doubts they are indeed vents and not bloody portholes

or go to the link provided by WhyMe which has the builders plans for the boats and they are shown as air vents
