The portholes to the right of the stairs still need to be finished and the bottom front of the bow looks a little bit too angular. But still, this exceeds the quality that I've seen of most drawings in this section! Also, are we going to see a thread of your AU eventually?

(Not wanting to spam up this forum with threads about me and my ships, I'll just continue on with this cruiser thread with, go figure, another cruiser class)

By way of opening, I have a late 50's - early 60's era helicopter conversion. Initially, I used the Jeanne D'Arc for the pair of them, but that seemed a little unsatisfactory as they didn't really match up with the rest of my inventory. I had also thought of using the Tiger conversion, but likewise, I didn't have any Tigers, so that didn't work either. What I do have, though, is the Mt Monarch class of Heavy Cruisers, aka the Swedish Tre Kroner class. As they are roughly the same size as the Tiger I got the bright idea of bashing bits-n-pieces of the two of them together to see what I came up with. Just for good measure, I even added in some bits from the Jeanne D'Arc. I guess you could call this the HMS TreTigerD'Arc, but we won't, I call her the HMS Mt Diamond instead.

Now, it still looks to need some refining, and I am not entirely satisfied with the way she looks, so I am open for suggestions. Also, I am very open to suggestions on replacing the Swedish electronics gear with British electronics gear. (Try not to use esoteric designations though, please. When I see "replace the SPS-97Q Mk 22E with an SPS-97Q Mk22J" my eyes start to glaze over and it appears to be ancient mandarin I am reading. Circles and arrows work wonders for me right now, until I actually learn all these designations and the like. Like I used to say about my Bradleys, I just learn how to fight with them, not build them.)

Nice one Zephyr,this looks like a good workable design.You may want to beef up the main mast as it looks a bit flimsy and put some railings along the edge of the flight deck.If you wanted to go for a British radar fit this would work.Hope this helps.

Not bad, but you might consider dumping the flightdeck and hanger down a deck.
It should help counteract the large air search radar you'll want on her.

Oh and get rid of the massively pixelated screw. It looks weird when seen with the rest of the ship.

The screw - I hadn't even paid much attention to it, its the one that came with the hull (from the Gota Lejon drawing).

Masts - what about replacing the Swedish masts with more solid Brit ones such as the Tiger had?

Flight deck - I just went with the same height and location as the Tiger. I initially had it at the same level as the rest of the deck, which dropping it down puts it at, and it just looked, well, wrong. Not sure why, it just didn't look right.
