Impressive Zephyr; this represents a novel and (historically) significant design. What also fascinates me is that while in 1918 a mass-produced warship was being built, by 1941 the US had forgotten the lessons of WWI, hence the 'Happy times' off the US coast amongst U-boats.
Some of it probably has to do with the draw-up time to get the mass production ready (and new designs). It took so long to get the Eagle Boats started up that they all missed the war!

I'm impressed they put steam turbines in them though.

Ha! I just love the Ford logo! Henry Sr will smile contently in his Dearborn heaven! But...is that merely something you got on the web, or have you drawn it yourself? If not, I recommend you doing it, and moving it up beneath the description box!

Got it off the web. Not sure I could draw it myself, but if somebody wanted to give it a go......

I thought it would be appropriate as these boats were built in a Ford plant, by Ford workers, on an assembly line. ;)

Ok, I'm gonna be a killjoy. Why me? Because who else but WhyMe? ;)

The Ford logo wouldn't be appropriate because it's not a specific ship's badge. I think that the "house flag" rule posted by Gollevainen applies here perfectly:
Gollevainen wrote:
For hauseflags, just drawn the flag in approriate scale and place it on the mast in the drawing. I agree with PB and WhyMe, that we should not clutter the drawings with all sort of extra just in the sake of it. Crest (when drawn in mediocore size) are good and proper, mostly becouse the actuall scale cannot ever present them in visual and reconisable way.
With funnebands, and houseflag, you can allready see them hoisted and painted on the ships.
And another Golly's "gospel" about the portholes:

2) The portholes needs to be of the bigger size ( I only allow you guys to use that shape on >20 meter MTBs...)
...
Other than that the drawing looks very nice; should make a good addition to the main archive.

They... are... not... portholes. They are airvents. Small airvents.

As for the logo, I believe I showed good restraint by not adding "Built Ford Tough!" to it.

Of all the small boats done on Shipbucket, this is one of the ugliest, and one of the finest!
Excellent work!!!
