Actually, if I can get my butt out of the laz'boy (which I don't own, so figuratively speaking only... 8-) :D ) I'll redo it in a more realistic, and, hopefully far more graceful version... - But I agree with you...not one of the world's cutest chicas... 8-) ;)

Many comment that this ship is ugly, but is a very distinctive design.

Well, since this old, dusty thread was somehow brought to life again, I decided, having once more read through the various comments to do some adjustments on the latest version posted. Thus, erik_t, I followed your advice and lowered the nav radar so it will interfere as little as possible with the Type909 radar. Also, I designed an entirely new stabilisator system, with three variable stabilisators interspersed among an extended, but broken up (sectionalized) bilge keel. Hopefully this would take care of the stability issues the design suffered.

p.s. Since it's such a long time since I posted the last updated version, I'm posting this one separately for comparison's sake. d. s.

Very good Bezzo. I don't know if its my computer monitor or the drawing but the ship looks very stuby, too short and high... :(

I brought it in life creating a variant of that design for my thread. With 3 stabilisers should be better in stability.

I find the location of the stabilizers dubious. The ship-impact (well, cross-sectional impact) of these systems tends to be very high - I believe the shafts often protrude tens of feet into the ship. As positioned now, one or more of them would intrude on the space needed for the gas turbines.
