No, you need triple tiered underwater casemates, to hit subs with.
And, add an armour belt, with windows! :P

Also, you haven't got enough torpedo tubes, why not mount some atop of the two big gun mounts???

PB you're quite right. Then we'll have a forum where APDAF can place his ships without annoying all of us ;) :D :D
Haha.

I have drawn a destroyer that should float.

Besides all those really good *cough* advice, especially the submerged casemates, I think this ship lacks a rambow, one about 100 ft, protruding above water; and where the hell are the sails and oars? I wouldn't want my crew to grow listless by indolence! :D

Obvious additional needs:
  • Ram bow
  • Mixed additional propulsion (CODAS at the least)
  • Greater variance of caliber (6" rather than 8" casemates at the stern, perhaps both a 14" and 12" turret)
  • Radical French-predreadnaught-level tumblehome
  • Radar with terrible fields of view. Perhaps one on each side of the superstructure, so that you can spend extra money to get your full 360deg.

Hey... what are you doing with that spotting platform?
You can actually spot shell falls from that thing!
Put it aft the funnels so the smoke obscures your view!

...and I don't think only two level casemates is cutting it! It needs SIX levels! - Preferrably with an even larger caliber! Hey, why not borrow the 6" 50 cal. from my Duke of Edinburgh class? They were useless in the real design, so here they ought to come to the fore with regards to utter uselessness! 8-)
