Has anyone any idea about safe distances for missiles to be from High energy radio frequencey emitters like radio, radar and ECM kit?

Just looking at some of the designs and wondering if we're placing the 2 to close together in some drawings?

on the dutch LCF the missiles only just clear the SABRE EW system. on the karel doorman class frigates the NSSM pass just next to the goalkeeper with it's search radar. I do not know how it is in other navies, but it seems an clearance of 1-3m is enough, as long as those aren't directly exposed to the flames and for the heat only for a moment.

I remember my stepfather (former Lieutenant Commander in the Norwegian navy) fortallte me a lot of weird things on the equipment every time we were on board the Oslo class. so he said that:

- Sea Sparrow has reached top speed when it have passed the side of the ship!!!
- The fact that we found out during an exercise that they may have a zone around the ship where the radar on the missile does not work. for under that exercise when they did not have that, the missile had a habit to come home!!!

But he said it probably for fool around with me!

I've got some old NAVSEA documents that give HERO danger distances. They are quite considerable, so much so that I am lead to believe there may be a duration component.

when i was a surface to air missile operator in the army we weren't allowed to place missiles within 3m of a radiating antenna and that was a manpack radio kicking out 25w. I dread to think what something like a type 909 or 1022 is kicking out. When chatting to guys who did supplemental AD for the armilla patrol they were mainly located on the flightdeck to give backblast clearence.

This is what I've got. Unfortunately, it includes only quite old systems with quite wide beams (and for that matter, quite old ordinance).
