what are those arm thingies on the bridge thingies? The ones with the white caps and they're both pointing towards the left when facing the picture.

Missile handling gear for UNREP, I assume.

...and this has to do with the cruisers exactly how? And I believe Erik's right...

I think that is wrong, because the same gear seems to be on the hangar as well..... it might still be UNREP, I suppose, but not only for missiles.....
