C'est fini!

I'm aware I'm probably going to raise some eyebrows with the props, they're meant to be or at least illustrate variable pitch contra-rotating affairs. Stabilizing fins are retractable compared to the earlier fixed ones, funnel arrangement has been modified to form a large central stack with all the various outlets/exhausts trunking up into it. I was debating placing the NSM launchers aft of the helicopter deck in a mission container but figured they were more of a necessity not to be in a removable box...

APAR / SMART-L combo has been retained, communications and electronic warfare systems have been lifted from the 'V' class cruisers with some alterations, air complement currently is a single MH-212B this may be replaced with an MH-92 if the thing will actually fit inside the hangar...
Seeing as they are basically identical vessels with different modules on them the sonar for the Block I vessels is rather than a bulb mounted on an under hull mounted array.
Complement should be around 170 (30 officers, 110 petty officers and 30 sailors) with permanent accommodation for 32 extra personnel sans mission modules.

Ships:

Block I - ASW & General Purpose naval warfare vessels
HMAtS Obsidian (D-200) - 2005
HMAtS Carnelian (D-201) - 2005
HMAtS Tourmaline (D-202) - 2005
HMAtS Jasper (D-203) - 2007
HMAtS Amethyst (D-204) - 2007
HMAtS Beryl (D-205) - 2010
HMAtS Jet (D-206) - 2011
HMAtS Emerald (D-207) - 2011

Block II - Anti Aircraft warfare vessels
HMAtS Tigers Eye (D-208) - 2006
HMAtS Amber (D-209) - 2007
HMAtS Topaz (D-210) - 2007
HMAtS Malachite (D-211) - 2008
HMAtS Sardonyx (D-212) - 2008
HMAtS Copal (D-213) - 2010
HMAtS Pyrite (D-214) - 2010
HMAtS Aquamarine (D-215) - 2011

Regards, Mark.

=D As I've said before on the forums I'm a staunch advocate of the Dardo / FastForty, the fact you had one already done up just seemed fitting to use it, you having a lovely AU and all.

If I am correct Tomahawk can attack naval targets, if so what is the point of Harpoon, and if Tomahawk can't attack naval targets, surely a version of NSM will give commonality :P.

Well the idea is to develop a sub-launched NSM in due course but seeing as it's only just being properly introduced (in this AU at least) onto ships. It would most likely be fired in a container the container then firing the weapon. That said there are probably some targets you don't want to waste a TLAM on and vice versa.

Tomahawk can't attack ships or any other moving targets. An anti ship version was proposed at some point, but I don't think anything came off it.

RGM/UGM-109B was the anti-shipping (radar guided) Tomahawk variant.
