The Russians have a rival to the E-2? Only in their dreams. Anyway the radar on the E-2 is lowered for hangar storage. It goes up and down 2 feet. Height is 18 feet so it should fit in the short hangar.

They did, was for their Orel(?) Supercarrier. One prototype IIRC, Golly has drawn it.
