Very nice, but as for railings on a yacht (or commercial vessel in general!), I'm not sure we always can stick to our R&Rs, since, as shown on the first Intuition IIs, it appears as if the top edge of the rails may have had (or have?!) a wooden border, which then ought to be represented. Also, often it actually makes more sense trying to represent the railings with a darker shade of the actual color they may have been painted in, such as on the first few I IIs. I like their railing solutions much, much better than the last one.

I'm getting some great tips here, thanks a lot and thank you very much Thiel for the text. I'm using MS Paint. What do you use?

I agree with Bezbrazov that the parts sheets won't go with superyachts so I've taken out every other stancheon and replaced the varnished capping rail on G deck :). The rails are polished stainless steel so I thought they would be a very light grey. I think I'll stick to the part sheet colour though. I've also lightened the superstructure again because it was looking a bit nicotiney. Its very light cream colour in reality.

A good start Charybdis and welcome aboard. As for railings with a wooden top you may check the following drawings

Thanks for the links, Novice. They are amazing ships, makes Intuition seem like a cork floating on the ocean!

I'm planning to cut my teeth on these 'small' boats because I worked on them and know the details but I really want to start drawing warships. There are some amazing drawings on this site. Whats the best software for drawing? I like MS Paint but its annoying that I can't get the right font for the templates.

Everyone, as far as I know uses MSPaint, although it's possible you have an older version of the Paint program, it really all depends on the age of your operating system.
