RHN had SAM Terrier (classified as OMI-56) on Elli Class cruisers, with 75km range in OMI-56B (RIM-2F) variant.First Terrier variants were RIM-2C (OMI-56A).My question: SM-1 ER (RIM-67) had 65km range and RIM-2C 37km,could a SM1-ER modified to have about 130-140 km range? What about missile capacity of Elli Class?

P.S Italian Vittorio Venetto with round Mk10 had 60 missiles,so I am thinking of using the modified RIM-67 to CGH Ulysee.

Of course I will move the SM-2 if doing the conversion to SM-1ER,my Ulysee based on the Andrea Doria Class CG.Vittorio Venetto had 40 SM-1ER and 20 ASROC,but I have seperate ASROC,so could have 60 SM-1ER?

P.S These links are wonderful!Thank you very much!

Just an idea I had for an AU DDG based on Belknap and Leahy class, built around RIM-67 missile. Please comment if any of these two designs is plausible and I will come with background story.

When built,Lysandros Class had Terrier and later modified for RIM-67 Standard ER.Both ships are as they could be now, built in early 1970's.

The Royal Yacht with CoA.Although the CoA resembles those of the RHN,crew belongs to Merchant Marine because as I said,The Royal Yacht expences come from a special fund created by Hellenic Ships Owners, who also paid for construction of her back in 1964.For the redesign I use parts from Norwegian Hurtigruten Ships only.

Note 1: The initials "Β/Θ" on the CoA is "Βασιλική Θαλαμηγός",in English "R/Y","Royal Yacht".
Note 2: Nestor has range of 7800nm at 15kn,so she allows quite long trips, even transoceanic.

I like the 'cut of the jib' of the Lysandros, apart from one problem: you've got the forward
5-in sited vertically over the horizontal loading and stored SM1-ER; I don't think you can do that

As a general 'rule of thumb' I would always go with whatever worked in real life; so, I would expect that the designer of the Lysandros would go with that principle. The positions of the forward 5-in and the SM-1ER could be reversed; that would allow the deck penetration (to magazine) of the gun, and maybe allowing the sam launcher and magazine unobstructed access. Even so, from my limited knowledge I would still consider the hull to be seriously cramped with the weapon fit you're hoping to include. You could always give the hull a bit of stretch? :)

Ok,Gun and SM-1ER will be reversed.How much stretch do I need?About 5-6m longer and about 1m wider?
