I once saw a Scammel tank transporter with a Centurion, being pulled by a Landrover; the former had broken down and the latter pulled it clear off the road. I'm guessing its all to do with gearing, or, in this case low water resistance.

I was once an ordinary pickup truck towing a trailer up a hill in the winter. pickup had chains that had not the truck!

But what has impressed me the most is one of the Norwegian rescue vessels, at the same day as it was launched from a boat-yard. went out and hauled a 4000/5000 ton cargo of ground and into the yard rescue boat had come from.
