There are many ways the layout of a ship with a steam engine, but when it comes to a ship with multiple boilers and machines, this is the most standard solution.

You must remember that you do not have such engines as we have today. where you can run everything with electricity by using generators.

And here is where I direct you to the Agincourt:
http://shipbucket.com/images.php?dir=Re ... NCOURT.gif
Try designing this as a larger, proportionate version of the Agincourt, although keep the superstructure the same. As for the new armament, this hull is unnecessarily large for it now.
Also:
-the directors should have immediate 360 degree clearance
-the entire superstructure is too tall, the bridge is hopelessly tiny for a vessel that would be sure to operate as a flagship
-the crane is way to small to handle those boats

at Agincourt, you have the engine in the middle and boilers on each side. one aft, just below the aft stack. and one forward, directly under the front stack.

The gun is mounted in between the two engine rooms. It is not just totally good solution when the engineers have to move up some deck also down a some deck to move between the engine room. If they do not have a dual engine crew, and that is not not ... but i works!

Well, when I said look at Agincourt's layout, I mainly meant the non-elevated guns in the middle. I wasn't so worried about the space for everything inside the hull because it is spacious enough to move things around without much issue.

I am basing it on the Rivadavia class all though I might try the Latorre.

Then you need a pretty massive beam to accommodate quad wing turrets like those.

They are not wing turrets they are centre line and they are twins not quads.

Then in that case, the ship is way to big for its armament. And the Rivadavia class had wing turrets, while the Latorre had a single centerline turret in the middle.

How do I up gun her then add a other gun perhaps?
Add smaller guns?
Or add a landing strip for biplanes?
