During WW2 the IJN used many submarines types, some conventional and some unique in concept, like the very big Sen Toku type I-400.

The small submarine RO-35 of the Kaichu-6 type

The transport submarine of the Tei Gata type, was armed only with a deck gun and her "cargo" of around 110 soldiers was transported ashore by two Daihatsu landing craft. Later some of the class mates were converted to carry 6 Kaiten suicide submarines on deck

One of the more unique submarines were the Sen Ho type, which were designed to refuell the Kawanishi H6K flying boats, and re-arm them, in areas where surface ships couldn't operate. 365t of aviation fuel and 12t of bombs and torpedoes were carried for the flying boats, as well as 11t of drinking water. Only one submarine was completed.

Great drawings! Do you plan on doing every class that hasn't been done yet? Hope so!

Yes that is my intention. There are something like 10major classes to be done.

KS (RO-100 through RO-117)
J1 (I-1 through I-4)
J1M (I-5)
J2 (I-6)
A1 (I-9 through I-11)
A2 (I-12)
B1 (I-15, I-17, I-19, I-21, I-23, and I-25 through I-39)
B2 (I-40 through I-45)
B3 (I-54, I-56, and I-58)
C1 (I-16, I-18, I-20, I-22, and I-24)
C2 (I-46 through I-48)
KD2 (I-152)
KD3A (I-153 through I-155 and I-158)
KD3B (I-156, I-157, I-159, I-60, and I-63)
KD4 (I-61, I-162, and I-164)

Nice work Novice. I've always liked the look of the I-351 class, like a Type IX on steriods, certainly they might have made excellent long-range subs had they been used properly.

Nice work novice.
May I suggest you put the class name on one line and the subs name and number on a line below.

Frankly the I-351 were nothing more than tankers. Although having torpedo-tubes, these were carried mainly for self defence, and not for any warlike patrol (they didn't have any re-loads).
Also please note that most Japanese submarines had very long range (the I-13 class had 21,000 miles range at 16 knots).
