The Mk-38 gun (which uses the Mk-88 mount) has been drawn:

is it ok if I make an new version of the MK 48 drawings? some 'mods' are still not represented properly, and I am not that content with the current drawings. I also want to make these systems with and without the protecting plates that cover them most of the time. I've got an PDF with all the sizes on it, and pictures of the mod 1 which I made myself. the hardest 2, mod 0 and mod 1 are mostly covered with that, so I should be able to do the job ;)

I can start in a few days if I am given fiat for an more detailed (and possibly slightly better, haven't checked the current sizes) version

Let's see what you come up with. Consider this a provisional go ahead.

This is really a standing go ahead, if you have resrources and think you can redraw a part, feel free to try. It may not be taken as a new version, but there is no sense in not trying.

WIP, but open for comments. I think it is near perfect, but after staring at these for a few hours my view might be troubled.
