Here is a small treat. An almost unknown company, which was active for barely 6 years. The Baltimore Mail Steamship Company was set up, in 1931 for a subsidised service between Baltimore and Norfolk to Hamburg, with or without a call at a French port (usually Le Havre). 5 ships were bought, and converted to carry 81 passengers (most cabins having even a private bath). In 1937 the US Post Office decided the service was not essential, and the company was wound-down, the ships being sold to the Panama Pacific line and operated by the United states Lines. So here is the ship of this small company
