Thanks shipmates. Re the earlier types, I should, and will do the early R.N. Rivers, and also the USN Tacoma class. I could also do the RCN version, but I realised after beginning that you'd done the later versions yourself (Novice), so maybe you'd like to keep that one under your wing? There are also some spin-offs, one being the only other (partly) preserved Tacoma/River (apart from the Diamentina), and a 'mystery ship' that was a radically reconstructed River class, but became something unrecognisable as such.
Going forward from the Rivers next will be the Loch/Bay classes. Going back we are looking at the Black Swan class, and before that the Egrets and the Grimsby's, the Sloops proper. As Rowdy36 has already done an excellent Grimsby in RAN service, he might be interested in starting from there and sort of meeting me halfway? I would deem it an honour to have him collaborating on this project
Just saw your post graham; I'm now on F363 Hawkesbury, and from there to the Diamentina, and that should give us a fair spread of RAN types. BTW, I only just noticed the Gascoyne photo in Friedman's book (p144), and that has finally given me the mast radar, so that will need to change.
