What a chunky ship, especially for a frigate.

Apart from the funnels, I always like the look of your designs; so this is one to watch :)

I made this 3D picture a little fast so you can see how I think.

When it comes to chimneys, it is only to make suggestions about what kind of chimney from what type of vessel I could base it on.

The preliminary data I have is that she has a Displacment of 8406.7 tonnes (max) and the hull absolute top speed is 35 knots (then you will experiences an 4300kN resistance) but in my design I will have a top speed at 25/28 knots

the main reason why she looks so high is because I have given each deck a ceiling height of 3 meters (21px) that there should be room for all the equipment she has.

As you look at the updated drawing, you will see that I have started to double up some off the equipment. (backup for the main!)

My god, she really is tall...
She looks like the bridge is as tall as the Daring's mast... I'm probably wrong, but thats how it looks..

It's because we usually use 17px (2.5 meters) for a deck while I experiment here with 21px (3 meters) for it to be room for a lot of extra equipment. but later I'll draw a version with 18px per deck.

I started by drawing almost the whole of the Royal Norwegian Navy, before I began to drawing personal drawings, gradually I began to study the styles of ALVAMA, Acela ..., hood, PB, etc. and combined the best from each drawing style into my drawing style.

But I must admit that I drew boats since I was .. even from day one! in 7 / 8 years of age, I used to be with my stepfather in the Olasvern orlogstasjon (Base), where he used to place me in a .. Well sort of a kindergarten "Submarine Bunker" (Workshop for submarines and MTB's inside the mountain) where I watched boats and drew them, and were I was guarded by those who worked there. advantage of having a stepfather who is 3 / 4 in the line of command at that base! :D

so you can say that I have a sort of 20 years of experience, where I began to drawing boats in Paint when I was 10 years old so I have 13 years of experience with paint! :ugeek:

So it is just to practice, practice and practice. When I draw boats today so it looks like I can not get better. in fact, I still exercising, one is never finished practicing. one can be 80 years but one ... ;)

so find yourself a real boat from real life and draw it, find a new one, and a new one, and even a new one and when we begin to brat a lot of nonsense and bullshit. First then you are ready to do a personal design!

Why not take 21 above the main-deck and 17 below?
