Very nice; and congratulations on another excellent addition to the Candadian folder

Interesting, seeing the full hull; I'd previously wondered about top weight with the addition of the Sea King and attendent equipment; but when you see the depth of hull it all makes sense.

One more of the Cadillacs
HMCS Restigouche and sisters introduced the Vickers 3"/70 twin mounting into Canadian service, each ship of the class carrying one mounting in the bows (the mounting being totally enclosedwas a great help fot the gun crew when the ship was heading into the sea).

That's a very unusual anchor. Is it a block anchor like they use on minesweepers?

Oh no. The anchor was behind a door, so it wouldn'y ice-up during the long North-Atalantic winters.
All the ships from the St. Laurent class had the anchors behind those doors.

Can't understand why they fitted two different 3 inch guns.

Frankly nor can I, they just did. To complicate matters even more the RCN between 1950 and 1965 had the following guns in service
4.5"/45 Mk. 5 single mounting (HMCS Sioux)
4"/45 Mk. XVI twin mounting (Tribal class like HMCS Haida, and Type 15 frigates like HMCS Crescent)
3"/50 of American origin (Tribal class and the 'Cadillacs' as well as Type 15 frigates)
3"/70 Vickers mounting in Restigouche class and later the Mackenzie class.
In fact a logistics nightmare.
