1988, Version IV.
Units stationed behind Ural chain took longer time to reach the prescribed format due to SA-9 retirement and because some regiments lost there SA-13s batteries.
The support vehicles are "old timer", legacy from version I "interim" battalion.
Infantry equipment are mainly BTR-70s and BMP-1Ps.

Well...
Today the air defence battalion is very close.
- In 1989, SA-13 were improved from Strela-10M2 to -10M3 (no visual change).
- During the 90's, version II battalion (already drawn) became the basis of all 2S6's equipped units.
- After the Soviet area, long walk in the desert for Russia ! No more changes far as I know until 2006.
Here begin my second project, but it starts with logistical support.
