Shipbucket

In 1900 Captain G W Hovgaard designed this submarine for the RDN. Unfortunately the Admiralty didn't think submarines were suitable for the Danish waters and turned it down.
This and a number of similar refusals caused GW Hovgaard, one of the navy's most brilliant minds, to emigrate to the United States where he got a position as professor in Naval Design at MIT.

This is an interesting design, I never heard of it before, but after a search of some pictures, I have to say this is a good rendition of it.
