In the second building plan the JMSDF put emphasis on ASW ships using American weapons, and DASH seemed like a good one, the big Takatsuki class were fitted with a hangar for 3 DASH helicopters.



This ship was done by Colosseum in a later stage of her carrer and I've obtained his permission to re-do this ship.

I have one comment only. Could you try how Takatsuki's masts will look in 3 pixel?

so are we in the third or 4th plan now?

I've checked the spelling, and I used Japanese name of the ship as a template for the name, and I found no problem. If you can clarify I'll be gratefull.

You spelled it Tkatsuki instead of Takatsuki on the drawing

Second generation DDG wee the Tachikaze class



The training ship Katori, was built with a wartime role of an escort command ship, hence her frigate looks. Her aft deck could be used for helicopters, but during peace-time was used for ceremonies and PT. The large hangar-like structure was in fact devoted to class-rooms and a gymnasium.
