Shading is nearly non-existent
shouldn't the rope carrying the companionway be taut?

shading will come later, and my referace picturen showed the companionway rope with a little slack.

Ah thanks for clearing that up, I suppose the rope doesn't carry much weight then

Or perhaps because my referance is a model of the Springwell it's not entirely 100% acurate.

She is done

not bad, but I miss shading under the overhangs, some parts you called windows are (if I see it correctly) mooring holes, the rigging misses some parts and the colouration seems a bit off.... (mostly the yellow masts and all)
other then that it is looking good!

I gave the mast a mor relaistic wood coloing (as I asume the real springwell had and not the yellowsh color of the model) aswell as giving her more subuded vents as I dont think any ship has brass vents, and as for th riging I couldn'y get it 100% acurate so I did my best.

P.S. Revison

rigging looks good now on the other points, I can understand this, although many ships had brass parts and the mast should always be painted, so they might have had that wood colour but it is not necessary that way.
