So, one more go at the prop. Thanks to Bezobrazov.
Are any of the three above okay?

The Helena looks rather crude compared to the rest.

It was probably a bit rushed compared to the others.
I'll give it some love tomorrow.

Working on a class of 2 carriers at the moment whilst going through armament options I decided why not go deeper into the idea of an AU and formulate something different.
Firstly Perkins are owned by Ravensdale. The two missiles shown represent as of 1970 what would have been current, not necessarily brand spanking new but not getting on in the world either. Sea Hornet is roughly analogous to the RIM-7 in it's earlier versions whilst Firebird is similar in concept to the Red Top operated in the 60s by the RAF.
The launcher is inspired like the Sea Hornet by an American design, namely a cross between the Mk25 and Mk29 launchers. Unlike the Mk25 however the launcher is dedicated to launching SAMs. They are reloaded by hand (with the aid of a small crane that is mounted to the launcher) they can be either reloaded tube by tube or with new cassettes. The illumination again referencing from American hardware is analogous to the Mk115 or SPS-65.

Launcher and Illuminator Specifications:
Launcher:
Capable of taking a missile up-to 3.6m in length up-to 250kg weight per tube. Capable of rotating 360 degrees and elevating from -5 degrees (for maintenance) to +50 degrees. (Each box can elevate independently of each other)
Illuminator:
Able of guiding a missile out to a theoretical limit of 25km, each mount is capable of simultaneously illuminating for two missiles.

Missile Specifications:

Ravensdale-Perkins Sea Hornet Mk.1A
Length: 3.6m
Diameter: 0.3m
Weight: 185kg
Warhead: 35kg with a proximity fuse with a fragmentation sleeve also fitted with a secondary contact fuse
Propulsion: Solid fuel (APCP) rocket motor
Wingspan: 1m
Range: 20km
Guidance: Semi-Active Radar Homing

ODEN Firebird Mk.3
Length: 3.6m
Diameter: 0.4m
Weight: 210kg
Warhead: 40kg with a proximity fuse with a fragmentation sleeve also fitted with a secondary contact fuse
Propulsion: Solid fuel (APCP) rocket motor
Wingspan: 1.25m
Range: 10km
Guidance: All-aspect (limited) IR homing

---------

From about 1980 onwards I'd be looking to replace the two described missiles with a common airframe with both IR and SARH/ARH seekers, but that can wait for now.

Regards, Mark.

As mentioned above, working on carriers (2 of) for Lithentis, they've been refitted numerous times, this will probably be their final incarnation. Not yet finished but it's getting on for 3am and I'm rather tired so I'll up the finished one later today. More new systems onboard too. 30mm ODEN/ADEN twins (a-la AK-230) 57mm twins (based on an enlarged 40mm twin design) - (Not actually going to use that on here I don't think), then you've got the GMBLs fore and aft of the bridge superstructure.

My Crusader Set may be of some use:

Each weapons load out comes in both tips up/down, wings up/down, and gear up/down. Other than with or without ASMs it's fairly comprehensive.

Edit - for that matter, this Bullpup might also be helpful:

Updated but still not finished. I may raise the front most mast to clear the stuff I put on to it's rear. Not sure if the enclosed lifeboats look a bit too modern, they've been around since 1904 but nothing really caught on until the 70s at least IRL... Gotta add a motor launch for going ashore in the empty recess and some more fixtures and stuff.

Back at college so I'm not going to have as much time on my hands though I still intend to post for both this and Atlantia (Nova Britannia can wait a while). I'll consolidate all my current stuff into the nation post too. Currently working on more aircraft, considering that there is already an AU Kfir floating about in Pax I took a stab at a Mirage based series too. Essentially a mishmash of earlier Mirage variants and the Israeli take on them.
I'm looking overall to end up with a mix of reasonably plausible 'own design' aircraft as well as modified RL designs, be that in avionics or any other changes.

Still WIP
