Working on a class of 2 carriers at the moment whilst going through armament options I decided why not go deeper into the idea of an AU and formulate something different.
Firstly Perkins are owned by Ravensdale. The two missiles shown represent as of 1970 what would have been current, not necessarily brand spanking new but not getting on in the world either. Sea Hornet is roughly analogous to the RIM-7 in it's earlier versions whilst Firebird is similar in concept to the Red Top operated in the 60s by the RAF.
The launcher is inspired like the Sea Hornet by an American design, namely a cross between the Mk25 and Mk29 launchers. Unlike the Mk25 however the launcher is dedicated to launching SAMs. They are reloaded by hand (with the aid of a small crane that is mounted to the launcher) they can be either reloaded tube by tube or with new cassettes. The illumination again referencing from American hardware is analogous to the Mk115 or SPS-65.

Able of guiding a missile out to a theoretical limit of 25km, each mount is capable of simultaneously illuminating for two missiles.

From about 1980 onwards I'd be looking to replace the two described missiles with a common airframe with both IR and SARH/ARH seekers, but that can wait for now.
