in this topic I will make one HUGE guide to the Dutch naval development. I will do this with this first post, filled with images with all ships in use at the end of each decade ( of course in sb style drawn) , with an list of names and roles of all these ships.
in posts in the topic I will add the story of the different classes/ships, IF it is interesting enough to be told. the first post is the most important. I will edit it every time I finish an new list, but I will only post it when complete. this might take some time, as I do really ALL ships, not only the frigates but the small craft as well, even tugs and so on.

corrections, additions and comments can be made in the thread below, of course. if you have corrections, please be sure that your source is good, as I have no time to fix the same thing 3 times :P

first of all, here's

(note, this space will be used for the rest of the sheets if the above post is filled up entirely)

added in 2000. now onto 1990 :D
a little note: this 'project' will in the future be posted ALVAMA's site and/or a new website, created especially for this. shipbucket will be credited, as will be the original authors. is this allowed, (by the admins and the authors) as this is purely to show the development of the dutch navy. (this is why I started this project, I know this was questioned before by some members...)

if not allowed, this will only be shown here.
please reply.

Jan, for the De Ruyter, in the Classification of 2000, why did you use the sister, Tromp, when I made a 1999 version of the DR? That doesn't make much sense, does it now? - Otherwise very useful and informative!

because that is the old version bezo ;) I am working on this project since I started drawing lots of real designs dutch ships, about a year ago.... when I posted that sheet, the new tromp wasn't made yet! I also haven't fixed the old drawings of the hrms amsterdam on the sheets.... which I have fixed MYSELF!
but I will be waiting on the new S and L frigates before I make fixes again, it takes quite a lot of time to fix and upload sheets this size.

You don't have the new one??? Why didn't you ask me for it? :o I know it's done, so there's really no excuse not using the right version, in my opinion! 8-) :) - But, since you're holding the fixes off quite deliberately, just holler me when the time's ripe and I'll give you the right version! :)

Ok then, just remember it's the de Ruyter, not Tromp, that you need. 8-) I know you can be as scatterbrained as me! :D
