Go with a twin 16" since you want a pair of massive guns not really useful on a ship this size. 20" is just completely unrealistic. Your best bet with it anyway would be a single fixed mount on an impossibly wide beam.

A 20"-turret will weight 2000 tons. And it will go at least three decks deep. The ammo for the guns mst come from somewhere. And if you use a standard turret you have to use a standard barbette, too.
Terror is a good name. It will be good for one shot. The first and the last one. You will need a 15000 tons ship to carry that turret.
Yes, look at HMS Erebus. This is how a real monitor looks like. Then look at your Terror. Then see the differences. Then redraw your ship.
Please.

Just because you can draw something does not mean that it could exist; to illustrate I suggest a look at any Escher drawing. What you (APDAF) are doing is concocting badly drawn ships that would be imposible to build or operate - quite simply they would sink. Your latest is a prime example of what I'm pointing out. More annoyingly, you then seem to expect that folk correct what is already a non-starter; in effect, you are asking members to coach you in the most basic knowledge of warship construction, without even bothering to take the time yourself to do any basic homework or even take a look at what other folk have produced - for example, other Monitors. In my opinion this demonstrates a lazy attitude. It is entirely up to other members if they want to take the trouble to help you, but you should not be expecting any sensible response on the basis of what you are posting here.

I don't wish to insult you, but am I correct in that you are very young? We don't have any restrictions on age - and rightly so as talent is not age restricted; but, you may profit first from practising by yourself, studying some books, examining other members work, reading all the guidelines, then offering something here. This is not me saying 'go away', we want you to succeed, but not at the cost of other peoples long-suffering patience.

Portsmouth Bill how do you define very young?
And I know that will not work and I am fixing her slowly.

Is a 16'' triple too big?

Compare. It's still frankly a terrible design, that needs a lot of work to make it even feasible.

1. Yes, I would think as Rahde put it, 15 or younger? But don't get stuck on this one - Mozart wrote great music before he was 10 - but he was a genius.

2. Its not a question of fixing, the underlying premise is flawed - best to begin again.

3. A 16" triple is not too big, on the right hull.

I'll bow out here; if what I said helps use it, otherwise I'll leave it to others to continue the tutorial.
