The torpedo tubes: are they situated correctly? What I mean is that you have very little beam to play with on this hull; and when you factor in the superstructure you're left with a narrow deck space on each side. From what I can see these tubes could fire forward or at a very reduced angle. What exactly are they? asw? anti-surface?

Right. It may be well to have a second opinion here; because I may be wrong...but...I don't think I've ever seen large torpedo tubes like these situated in such a position. Can you possibly supply an example in real life? I'm following this because AU or no, the ship does have to correspond to what could exist.
