Rodondo: why? Have you taken a closer look at the weather conditions in the Baltic?
I'm from the Swedish city of Malmö, in South sweden, and we've experienced some terrible, iced-over winters.... and that's only some 50-60 miles from the German baltic coast!
I know of those conditions, I have a Swedish relative (however I have never seen snow!) I was presuming that the fleet operated mainly out of the Northsea and the Baltic sea had only a few warships upon it.
