Thank you. Once I'm done with it I may do it's successor the Newport. (Even thought it's positively hideous to look at)

Anyway, that black blob I mentioned earlier still have me stumped. Any ideas as to what it is?

It looks like a stack of iron bars to me... or a very large folded rope ladder.
But it doesn't appear on any photo. so i think it's not that important and you can paint over it.

I'd guess it's an air intake or something like that. In any case it's flat since it's not visible on the topview.
