Mike please note that in 1935 the Bearn was modified as follows
the flight deck aft was given a more downturn, and forward was extended, and was sloped down.
Anti-aircraft armament was increased by the addition of 37mm guns and 13.2mm machine guns. Also the level below the flight-deck forward was encloded.
I drew the Bearn as she was after the 1935 refit.
It is true that in 1927 (the date of the plans) the flight-deck aft was less sloped and there was also a small island structure which could be raised when flying was not done

Great work, perhaps not the best looking of carriers but certainly one of the pioneers of the 1920s.
Nice top-view too.
