Well, a turreted twin 4.5" gun on a submarine is impractical, especially when its on a submarine that barely has potential for coastal duty (ie: the shallow draft, and overall thin hull)

You can't just resize a design and hope it works all the same and what not. Most people serious about their AUs stick to either modifying ships that already exist or put a lot of effort into trying to find out how feasible they are.
