Not sure if F-4 can handle the Sukhoi Su-27 Flankers in combat air role btw

The German F-4ICEs have had favourable results in simulated dogfights against current 4.5gen stuff considering their age.

Going to pursue two optional possibilities with this, much more uniform Russian Kit and a European orientated one (Mirages, pumas etc) Will upload them with the updated original mixed one for you to take a gander at and beat me over :)

Last thing probably for a while as College induction day is in. Ooh 9ish hours.
Any-who this is just something I've been toying with for lack of ability to sleep. It's based off of the EE Canberra as you can probably guess.

It's meant to represent something still in operational use. Turbofan power as opposed to turbojet, modern avionics and flight controls, capable of launching a variety of smart stores, loitering to provide support for hours at a time and able to like the EA-1F above somewhere provide ISR support via EO sensors either in the bomb-bay or via an MX-20 turret in the nose. Gun armament on the interdictor will either be a singular GAU-22 or similar rotary cannon or a quad pack of MG213 derived 30mm cannon (DEFA, Aden etc) Of the six external hard-points the middle on each wing are plumbed for drop tanks up-to 300gallons in general the hard-points are all stressed to 2,500lbs and the bay is capable of handling a total of at any one time 6x 1,000lb bombs or a number of smaller munitions 12x 500lb bombs etc.

Crew as of now stands at 2-4 depending on the mission. Pilot, Co-Pilot / Flight Engineer and two mission specialists (who reside in the space behind the cockpit but before the bomb-bay. All sit on MB Mk10 (I think is the model I'm looking for) ejection seats.

Apologies if any of the above doesn't make sense but I'm starting to nod off. See you on the other side gents. :geek:

On the subject of the Super Tucano; I've read somewhere that there was a single seat version, but I've never seen anything on it. Anyone got any information on it?

A single-seat version may have been planned but no single-seat Tucano has ever flown. The back seater turns out to be pretty useful in weapons aiming and spotting.

@PB I think it's the same as the tandem seater with a fuel tank replacing the second seat. Not a one seat canopy per say.
