What's the deck penetration on that forward gun? If it's got much of one, it'll interfere with your vehicle deck.
This brings up something that, well, perhaps needs to be brought up.

I've noticed a tendency for some of the newer members on this board, after they have received helpful advice, to ape back that advice in haphazard fashion and perhaps be under the impression that they may know more than they really do.

People like Thiel and erik_t study extensively the types of systems they're dealing with - not just generally, but they know very well the specific stats of various systems, even some obscure ones that might not be known to even other laymen.

My point being, is that there is a big difference between the knowledge base of Thiel or erik_t, and someone who've they've been lending advice to but who doesn't have that knowledge first-hand. Typhoon, as Thiel mentioned, has no deck penetration, it is an on-deck, bolt-on system designed specifically for use that way. He knows this because he's at least somewhat familiar with the system, rather than making a generalized guess based only on very broad knowledge of weapon systems in general.
although I can be considered an newbe in many points as well, I agree with you in this. although some comments may be helpfull, sometimes I see very stupid questions to be asked. I have to say though, even thiel and erik_t can make mistakes, because nobody can know everything.

Weeeell, I'll admit that I do spent quite a bit of time perusing the net, but calling it extensive study might be a bit much. I do have a fairly solid backing in engineering and a good understanding of ship construction and shipboard life.

Which ones? The one I got of the parts sheet and put on the LCH, or the original drawing?
If so, are there any? What have I mistakenly used?
I reckon he's refering to the liferafts not being off the parts sheet; a bit like the railings etc. we maintain commonality between drawings this way. You've been improving this nicely; and as we all seem to be having a say here, I'm glad to see someone taking on a sensible design to 'cut their teeth on': not only does this create good skills, but also provides us with a nice addition to the archive (once it passess muster).

Not wanting to start an argument, I am only a newbie here, but I did use, what I thought to be inflatable life rafts on the parts sheet (there are no lables). I've now replaced said items with liferafts, as they appear on other RAN vessels from SB.

Yes, they are the right ones; so I'm not sure where you found the others. We try to keep some commonality, but sometimes we get variants appearing - which makes for confusion! Another suggestion; you might try adding in some more detail on the upper deck (behind the bridge), it looks a bit bare. Its looking good!

Name plate, crest, bridge doors and life preservers added.

Does it need anything else? I was going to put a M1A1 on the well deck, but it is too deep too see anything.

Delete the foremost upright of on the railing on the upper deck, so that the black outline beneath it is visible. Right now there's jus an odd shift in colour.
And since there's only limited space available for attachments on the server, Id go ahead and delete the older versions.

Done, now only the original and present version, plus top-down from phamplet.

Australian Govt announced this week the forthcoming retirement of the Balikpapan LCH's. Looks like the Caimen 200 is a contender.

One role being considered is that of independant amphib ops. If so, a helo deck maybe in order and enlarged medical facilities.

You might have some trim and balance issues with that placement, and the helicopter will be completely covered in exhaust during the most critical part of the landing phase.
