Much, but why use such a big boat? Several smaller whale boats would be much more useful than that... monstrosity :P

As for bigger guns... Yes you get more firepower, but you get less rate of fire, much smaller ammunition stowage... Anyway, it's allready looking much better.
My next suggestion would be to get at least one of your directors as high as possible, such as above your bridge. More height makes it better for targeting.

I'll say it one last time. Your casements are going to be damnably uncomfortable to fight, and the lower ones are going to have issues in bad weather. But its not a huge deal if you must have them.

The boat is the captains yacht there are smaller boats that you cannot see.

Okay. Now answer the rest of my post? You could do with your directors being higher. Also, your big guns are not really going to be that useful.
Also, do you really have to have that many casemates?

Maybe mount one of your searchlight on a podium either around your mast or around the stack?
You could mount your forward director much higher, up on the superstructure. This would give you much better targeting and range on your guns, particularly since you have no spotting aircraft.
Do you have an armour belt? I don't see one, and you'll need one to survive low level shelling and torpedo hits.

Are you dead set on those casements?

(please answer all my questions)

I am going to mount a searchlight on one of the masts.
I could mount the forward director much higher up but it is like giving a sniper scope to someone else.
I do have an armour belt I just have not drawn it yet.

Yes I am keeping the casements.

Okay, Get to it then :P

Um... what? I'm not proposing you mount it any higher than the superstructure. And it's going to improve the distance at which your guns can 'see' considerably. How is that like giving someone else a sniper scope?

Roger that. They will have issues tough.
