I prefer the first serie's of design.
Better lookout plus flight ops space in the conning tower.
Better place for the lift in the deck, seperate hangar's is always better (i quess)
She looks cooler.
She looks better researched, and the latest series looks like.
Do whatever you want, make it CHEAP!
Say...... if I want to make counterparts to this and this out of a through deck Enforcer ('cause a well deck would still be kinda nice), which series and which weight class would you recommend me to start with?

Thanks in advance.

that all depends on what you want it to do.

(I've edited my previous post because I linked the wrong pic for the non-skijump example, BTW.)

It looks like the Aboukir Bay class serves both as a helicopter carrier and littoral attack boat mothership (launched via cranes, as the well deck is deleted), the Glorious class subvariant having STOVL capability and a 155mm bombardment gun thrown in.

Can the CB-90 boats be launched from the stern well deck of a stock Enforcer?

ok... CB-90 can be launched from the dock, they can be carried on the deck (if there is an crane on board that can lift them) but the best solution is really to put them in davids. the standard LCVP david's you see on some of the enforcers in the enforcer thread are perfectly capable of doing this.

the enforcer series can do all you want them to do, except for the heavy gun arnament. I really see no need to add that though, that is not the role were these ships were designed for. I also see no need to create such an ugly ship out of them, but do whatever you want.... but I think you can't use much more then the underwater hull from my drawings, because the layout will be much different.

STOL capability is possible too, look at the LHA-17000 jsf carrier.

my last comment on this, is that this should be in it's own thread, not in this old thread of an already outdated drawing. you might want to ask an admin to move it.

Is the "enforcer series thread 2" where the up-to-date stuff would be?

well, there are the newer drawings, but it is not the thread to discuss that what you want to make, because you want to make something that belongs in the own designs section. it also isn't about an never build enforcer (as I drew all of those already :P)
