Since everything from football to ... has stopped here in Norway. I had nothing to do in these sad days. so I drew a little. :( ;)

I took just threw together a lot of things. and got this one, a commander and support vessels.

few questions and things:

what are those directors? I do not recognise the type
what kind of support would this ship give?
why the 50's ASW weapon on the bow?
the prop seems a bit small
why no ESSM?
I have my doubts about that sonar dome

overall, it looks like an working ship, but I would like to know more about this concept... any background story?

It was some I used on a Corvette I drew once. but I can always use SPG-60.

There can be many different things, such as.:
Fast input support.
Rapid transport of special forces.
Quick response.
Patrol boat support.
command for special tasks.
or large patrol vessels.

Could not find the right one. the ship is not built as ASW vessels but it should be able to defend itself to a certain level.

Did not notice it until now. I'll take to make it 5 pixels. larger.

I have the RIM-7M but I can switch it to the ESSM

I will replace it with a hanging on the hull instead.

I was drawing a patrol vessel / corvette that some shipyards could be built. and delivered to several different countries with different equipment. but you do see what happened to that ..

when I see support, I think helo support, replenisment or long range strike capability or something..... hence why I was a bit confused. so..... maybe that isn't the correct way to call it
for ASW, I would think some torpedo tubes would be better.
for the director: why no STIR? that looks like the best bet here.
for what you have in mind, some extra sloops/boat's would be in order I think

It's most definitely an rather interesting design, you could maybe distribute the emergency raft containers better around the ship. Other than that I must say I'm rather fond of it!

This is the Coast Guard version. it is drawn up to be ready for various weapons (such as VLC on the foredeck. torpedo tube on the aft deck, and various other weapons) but not equipped with, as a kind of reserve vessels.
