I meant forwards or backwards side view, but ok. Just wanted to know if one had to be facing forwards and one back, which apparently is not the case (are the dishes movable?).

Still working on ironing out the basic shape of things, so shading and all hasn't happened yet (The colors aren't final either). I already know where to find the weapons part sheet, but if there's been any changes between what's on the actual site's part sheet for radars and systems and the last updated version of the part sheet, could somebody link me to that? Much appreciated if somebody could.

According to my own measurements, this one actually falls in shorter than the short hulled OHPs. Still debating fitting AN/SPY-1, and when I get around to actually doing the bridge I might change the layout up there. Current planned armament is;

What's the timeframe of original commissioning? For it to have both Mk. 26 AND Phalanx as-built, it would have to have been between what? 81-84? At that point, we were still building the Perry class (FFG-61, the final US OHP, entered service in 1989.) Perhaps scrap the 'As Built' and go with just the 2000's refit as the "Original" design.

As far as Spy-1, as much as I like the idea of an AEGIS Frigate, the US already has more AEGIS ships than the rest of the world combined (And I think you can throw in SAMPSON and APAR and our AEGIS fleet still has numerical superiority.) A cheaper system would work just fine. In Convoy escort, the big threat is piracy, or maybe submarines, and AEGIS isn't terribly helpful for either of those threats. With a CVSG, you can use a Tactical DataLink from the nearby Burke or Tico for your Spy-1 coverage. Then the Frigate, fitted with a Mk. 41 and SPG-62s, becomes an off-board launch platform for the AEGIS system.

Then again, I could be wrong...

And that will probably happen to the Tien Tan class if they didn't abondan the plan with minor changes like Mk.45 instead of Oto-Melara 127mm and two quads for Hsiung Feng 2 SSM.
