Well yes, obviously; what you have here is the massive twin engined inteceptor that was designed to fly high over the North Sea and shoot down Soviet bombers attacking the U.K. before they could get close to release any stand-off's. What you might consider is the smaller single engined development of the Fairy Delta, which was close to the Mirage. and as we all know, when the the Brits, with their usual flair for 'never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity' canned the Fairy Delta, Marcel Dassault was very happy to welcome the plane for flight testing in France - and we know where that led
