The speed is not unrealistic at all, French destroyer Fantasque could reach briefly 45 knots (!) but on the other hand she had no armor and very light armament

if some ship goes 43 knots it doesent equal automatically that the other would too.
to jump in speed from something under 30 knot to 43 knot would require huge ammount of reworking not for just boilers but for the turbines and the shaft/propellors as well. I would be intressed to hear in which sort of machinery powers and boiler pressures such speed increase would be achieved here
