I asked Rurik-2 in his keiserliche fleet thread, but I wanna ask you too, cause I feel the paint scheme might not be correct. the scale models of the SMS ships I find have light grey paint, with even lighter painted superstructures. I nassau is almost finished, but I dread the fact that I have to change the colors to both ships. Any suggestions or more info on the subject?

OK, after some painstaking reasearch and a repaint of the ship that took hours, this is the true colors of kaiserliche marine battleships. Unfortunately Rurik-2, the darker color of our ships until now is not correct. This is SMS Braunschweig as it should look:

And now I can get back to Nassau and start repainting....

You need a black line along the lower deck and your shadows are going both ways, but aside from that it's a nice drawing.

A very good drawing and a good contrast in styles.

The shadows go both ways in some parts because there is superstructure infront of them. Maybe it can be removed in the stern secondary. Also the lack of black line in the lower deck is accepted in page 1, but I'll see.

I'll edit the last drawing

Dear ReiAyanami! A very powerful and competent illustration you've got there! However, the ovearll impression is severely marred by one very obvious (or so it should be!) mismatch: FLAGS, FLAGS, FLAGS! Your ship is flying above the Kaiserlische Reichskriegsflagge, also the ensign used in 1933-35, before the swastika-emblemed design was adopted! Please remove that and move the lower ensign up in its place. Otherwise a most wonderful drawing of one (historically) quite useless and failed Panzerschiffe-design. I hope you'll draw the SMS Pommern, and, possibly the SMS Deutschland as well!
