Just a quick question, since I know there is a bit of a difference between alternate history and AU. Are AU designs permitted here, so long as they are up to par? Also, I know the trend has recently been following planes and such; are ground vehicles permitted here as well?

I am not really sure, I think as long if the drawing is not Scifi,. you can just post your AU on this thead

my private AU drawing are mostlly about AU-ROC or fictional Federal Republic of China, further are just What if. Like: what if Irish Air corps use F-16?

I think Valkenburg was too small to operate Bears :) But it looks stunning! the nose doesn't have to be black, they are black with the Orion because of the radar, just a little bit afrond of the cockpit like this: http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-p ... 911952.jpg. You should make one with the old MLD colour scheme of Lockheed SP-2H Neptune.
