it misses the soviet feeling a bit, IMO.... overload it with weapons everywhere you can, and make it look powerful.... right now it looks like some sort of captured and rebuild brit :P

That's because it essentially is :P A rebuilt brit cruiser was the feel I was going for :)

Also, for your viewing pleasure. The redone Freyr class frigate, with new radar and a new helicopter...

I'm considering doing a version of that without the hanger and helicopter, and with a pair of SSM launchers...

Okay, so Ace gets the award for bugging me most/pushing me into massive detailing efforts. How does this look:

getting there. I still see too few doors, at night your men fall of the deck because there are no lights, bridge wings, firefighting equipment, an hatch somewhere for reloading the torps, the upper deck has only limited ways of getting there, all liferafts at the stern is not an good idea, pipes, nav lights, rails to stand on when repairing/maintaining/cleaning the structure...... yeah there is some of this stuff, but not enough.

Right okay. I'll get on that eventually. But first:
Bridge wings?
Nav lights?

(Also, I hate you Ace :P In a nice way, of course :P)

nav lights regulations

and the bridge wings are the outher sides of the bridge, mostly used for watchkeepers and for mooring the ship. during 1970's it wasn't common to cover them (as is done sometimes nowadays)
