No idea why they pulled out really, probably cost or unhappy about the design, who knows?

A number of the Pacific Island Nations use the Pacific class, which is due for replacement soon. Australian designed and built, yet not in service here. But I'm very sure that's the limit of our stuff being exported

Unfortunately it was personal differences between 2 former leaders (PM Keating and PM mahathir bin mohamad) that caused the split.
