SLQ-32 entered service in 1979. I can't imagine that a ship would have the expensive and lengthy changeover to Mk 71 without also receiving the ECM upgrade (which would happen in due course in any event).

I finished her. I decided to go for as she would look around 1980-1982, so with harpoons etc. I hope I did the sloop right, and I really hope they still had the sloop at this side during the years depicted. the one on the other side was kept, I am sure of that, but I found no pics of this layout from the right side.
anyways, when this one passes muster, I will swap the guns again.... because apart from the guns, this is an perfect description of how spruance looked around 1982, and the early spruance is missing on the main site...... so I will post this tomorrow in real designs as well, with the real gun.

so, any comments?

I wasn't sure that one was finished, and I did that part of the ship a long time ago, but ok, that one will get on the fix. any other points anyone?

I might upgrade Golly's "angled"view, but the front/back/sides views are fixed now, so you can use those.

Not really...

I guess that you can add ABL for Tomahawk missiles next to the ASROC launcher, as a few recieved that mod before the VLS was introduced. It would certainly make for a very well armed ship.

ace, you may notice that all US-boats have either a red or black (charcoal) bottom color! Otherwise an excellent job!

@ miho: yeah, I will make 3 versions of this ship... one as it would look around 2000 (vls and all) and one the same as this one, but with ABL and phalanxes.
@ bezo: will fix, but I only used the ones from whyme..... maybe you should notify him too, if that's so.

I'd change the first two from 'Original Configuration" to "1980 Configuration" and "1984 Configuration" respectively.
