It certainly looks like an OTO 76 in the renders but isn't it too big?

it is the correct size, IMO, and even if it is too big: the phalanxes are way too small
oow and looking again: the VLS deck looks wrong, the front phalanx is too low placed and the gun mounts at the side aren't placed on sponsons. I also miss the UCAV catapult and the platform with the hitrole on seems wrong. also, where did you get that hitrole from? it isn't on the renders

btw, if you can show me recent refs proving me wrong, I have said nothing of the above this is purely based on the renders, not on my own knowledge of these ships (which is almost none)

- Early Type 26 Frigate concept show British 114mm gun or a newer 155mm (BAE system)

- The current view show clearly a italian Oto Melara 127mm gun




Almost all open source claims 114 or 127 mm guns...
(but obviously the next rounds of cuts in British defence can reduce the main weapon to a 76mm or a "second-hands" (or even a "third-hands " 114mm gun onboard these ships )

Your drawing need some refinement

colombimike: where are you basing on that that is an 127 mm gun? it is clearly the 76! if you don't agree: I have 3d models of both (made after official plans and pictures) and can show you the proof it is the 76 stealth.

I disagree. That one has a "chip" on the upper casing, where there's a break in the roofline. The other one has no such chip and a steeper roof, as seen in the picture.
