@ jabba: yes, you are quite right. this is sometimes done, by me for example (in that one case) to just show him how a real ship looks, because in words he didn't seem to get it. this was (IMO) not the case here, but you are right, my reaction was a bit too much. I appoligise.

for that bow: it is ok for most of it, but
- that curve is so extrem that you can't stand on it normally :P
- it looks real bad on this 'straight' ship.
and (IMHO) you learn more from doing things yourself then letting others do it for you ;)
Fair enough, that's settled then! :)

I see what you mean, it would be hard to stand safely of a deck that pitched when at sea. I look forward to this design developing, it looks quite original.

P.S. Sorry for going a bit off-topic and filling up the thread with my complaining!!!

Which one? The battleship, the cruiser or the liner?

@ jabba, a few things: that bow looks awful above the waterline, IMO even the original was better. also, we don't touch somebody's drawing without permission. NEVER!
@ rodondo: that 'laucher' is an ASW mortar. it can rotate if I'm correct, although I don't know why you would need them on a modern ship like this... at least, let me ask, what time era is this?
@ renji: I can see something good comming out of this. it has some beginners mistakes, but we all made similar ones when we started, and I like the overall design......
I would suggest though, to first try an real design. why? to learn shipbucket style drawing. you then see what everything does, how everthing works, etc. then you can finish this ship, and make the best of it!
this is modern era, but i like my ships to have that aura about them as if they were some soviet cold war relic..... XD

This is for NS, right? In that case it might be useful to determine first what you will use it for. Right now it seems like you are going for some patrol boat\corvette, correct?
