Putting aside the advice on improvements (and I won't presume to tread into the Dutch navy parts) I really like this design. My first thought was YES!! the basis for a RAN follow on to the type 12, so I might want this sometime - permission Alex? :)

I am sure that this was the a early Shiny PR cover drawing for a preliminary submission to the Australian DDL program in the early 1970s

Methinks, Alex, that you've inadvertently mirrored the picture; i e drew the port side as starboard side. I believe that the boat configuration would've resembled the as-built Tromps; i e with a large motor personnel boat on the starboard side and two smaller utility/personnel boats on the port. Also, just out of curiousity: what was wrong with the underwater hull I drew for the Tromps? I mean no offense, since you are a truly great artist, but yours appear to be somewhat coarser and cruder even, in its design. Otherwise with these little abers, I think it's an interesting design, and, in fact, touches very much upon the solution I have in mind for the 'final' Sea Dart-version, which I'm sorting out right now intellectually, before starting to draw it!

Made by the Dutch for the Dutch! On the back you can see it on the painting!

Naw, Alex, this is your choice then, and thanks for the explanation. However, I may use features of yours in my rendition of the Sea Dart-armed version. I kinda like (though it was never applied!) the way you added some strong colors to my boats. I may use that feature. Also, I like the unusual life preservers.
