Thiel, I think we are entering a grey zone here...having visited the
USS Iowa, I know it was a common practice to stow the six helicopters on the fantail (not that the ships ever had the assigned number; four was most common!), so I'd accept it out of reality. As for the
Phalanges (yes, plural of Phalanx!), again, we've discussed this before: the Iowas
never had them in a fore-and-aft position, I repeat
never! As it now is the most realistic viewing of their actual position! Besides the little white 'blotch' around the forward Phalanx mount, it's a truly superb drawing, and my hat is off for you, Paul for a magnificent rendering of the
NJ! Now, please go on and do the
Iowa and
Wisconsin!
